The game runs seemingly just fine until a few minutes (maybe like 2 or 3) passes and the game just crashes to desktop.

I can't seem to pinpoint what is making it do it, sometimes I think it's happens due to one of the in game menus coming up, but then it crashes sometimes without it. It's not because of the cutscenes because the game loads those just fine and then goes into the mission

I have no Idea why it is doing this.

My specs are:

OS: Windows 10

CPU: Intel Core I7-7700k 4.20 GHz

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti

RAM: 32 GB

Twice now I tried to play old Gog games (Alpha Centauri and Railroad Tycoon 2) from my windows 10 desktop only to have them crash. The many suggestions on getting these to work were fruitless. However, I download the standalone versions and installed them on my HP cheap laptop and they work. The laptop doesn't have any special gaming enhancements but it can play both of these games without problems. Sorry you are having troubles and like other suggestions you can see in this forum, it may or may not work for you.

I am having same problem. Game ran fine for a week. Last 2 days it randomly crashes. Cannot discern any trigger.
WIN 10
i7-10750h
nVidia RTX 2060
16G ram
I think the problem is with the MSVC runtime libraries.

With version 2008 it should work, because that works for me, with version 2013 or newer it doesn't. No idea how it is with the 2010 and 2012 versions.

IIRC, you can just hit minus several times, and it should pause.
