I was under rush to complete my mission for Gold medal so I mainly bought my own company stock because it's the only one going up regardless of economy.

After the mission was completed ,I tried to stay around to play that map a bit more.
I found that there's no more stock to buy from anyone.
This make me failed to attempt merging with other company because they hold most of their company stock thus always win to vote down my proposal.

Is there any other way to close their company after stock ran out?

I am assuming you are querying RRT2. This is the one that I am most familiar with.

In general no.

If the victory conditions require that you are the only company operating at the end of the game then you will need to start early and buy your opponents stock. In most cases with this victory condition once you have bought out an opponent they won't start new railroads.

In order to guarantee a merger you will need to have greater than 50% of the outstanding shares. If you have fewer than this then it is possible to merge but you will need to offer a purchase price greater than the minimum merge offer.

I don't have a good feel for how much more you need to offer as it is dependent on the tycoon owning the railroad. In the India campaign scenario I managed a gold win by just maxing the buy out in December of the last year of the scenario of that last hold out.

P.S. Read your post again. Once the scenario has assessed your victory level (e.g. Gold, Silver, Bronze) even if you keep playing it won't reassess your victory conditions because there is always a time component which you failed.

Yes RRT2.
I know it doesn't help fixing my medal. I just hang around to try things since I wasn't pressured by time anymore.
Well ,any price I offer seem to fail when my share is under 50%.

It wasn't serious ,though. My real mission is to connect New Orleans to Los Angeles. (Bridging a Nation)
I exploit AI hard enough ,none rival AI can expand more than 4 stations to mission end.
But I wasn't quick enough to buy their stock to hold higher than most of them.
I managed to get rid of one ,still got 2 left.

Kinda get the hang of it. Might manage to pluck them out next time I try.

This game crash a lot when I have a lot of station. Any idea to fix this?
