As the title says. I'm badly missing mouse controls. Why does the mouse work in the menues and not in the game ?
Any ideas ?

It simply does not support mouse controls. Only Keyboard and Gamepad.

This game wouldn't work with a mouse because of how the ship speeds work -- there wouldn't be a 1 to 1 correlation between how fast you moved the mouse and how fast the ship moved. You couldn't get any sort of precision control with a mouse, and this game demands precision control.

Hmm. I tried it with a joystick and it seems the ship moves slower then using the keyboard.
I still think mouse control could work. It should be possible. The speed/sensibility could be adjusted preferably within or even outside of the game. It's difficult I believe because it's a ROM-based game.
I hope for a fan mod sometimes. I don't like gamepads at all and there is no game I've ever played that made me think otherwise (Yeah, PC enthusiast).

You can do this with and a suitable script (e.g. [url=http://www.autohotkey.com/board/topic/75125-using-mouse-as-joystick-or-arrows/]one of these).

EDIT: AutoHotkey must be run as an administrator so it can interact with the game properly since the game is set up to run as an administrator.

I'm not goot at scripting so I hope I can use one of those scripts. Otherwise I have to begin study scripting :)
