It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

So this is weird, Rage of Mages 1 runs perfectly on my PC out of the box, but Rage of Mages 2 doesn't.

When I run it, I get no error message. The game just doesn't appear. An icon shows up at the bottom of the screen, but clicking on it does nothing as seen on the attached image.

So... how can I get this to run?

This thread might have some solutions for both Win7 and Win10. I have it installed not to fix my mouse scrolling too fast issue.

But I would suggest a new clean install.

Also, if you have PC cleaning like CC Cleaner or in my case Norton Utilities, it might help automatically remove any lingering registry entries. Hope this helps.

Edit:
Another thing, check to see if Window 10 is blocking the game for some reason. It kind of looks that way from the screenshot, but I'm no expert. So adding the exe file from that launched the game to the exceptions list might help. You can find which exe file by right clicking the desktop shortcut and properties.

I use Windows 7, so not sure where to go to access that. You should be able to find plenty of answers to that using Google search. In Windows 7 it's called DEP and I think it stands for Data Execution Prevention.

Keep in mind, I'm assuming you're using the offline installer. If you're using GOG Galaxy, there may be different steps to get to the exe file. And Galaxy I think also has a repair function maybe? Not 100% sure.
