Sarisio: I am asking just to be sure - so is RoM 2 fixed now too? Or it didn't have such problems from very beginning?

waltc: I have no trouble scrolling with the mouse in either game...don't know how much more clear I can make that...;)

Using the mouse to scroll the screen is very manageable for me in ROM2. I'm not sure why someone would think it's too fast to scroll. Maybe something to do with their particular system config...? It's not slow but then it's not too fast for me at all.
you are then an exception. the scrolling is too fast for most users, otherwise there wouldn't be patches for retail to solve it.

At old-games.ru you can download the patch to fix this problem in rom2. there is 2 version of this patch, for russian and english.

JMich: For RoM2, running the game at 1024x768 helps with the scroll speed a bit. If it's still too fast, take a look here. No idea if that edit works or not though.
I tried hex-editing the allods2.exe using the suggested edits in that text.
I changed every FF 32 and 82 32 pair to FF FF and 82 FF. (And tried some other values between 32 and FF). Though the game runs fine and doesn't crash, the scrolling didn't slow down whatsoever.

apehater: seems that gog staff fixed that problem in rom, it just now recieved an update. will try it and post here again. hopefully they patch rom2 soon too.

update: scrolling is fixed in rom now.
Are you going to updates your ROM I & II reviews? I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy this and came across your reviews, and decided to look in the forums. If I hadn't, I would think they are still not fixed.

rom is fixed, rom2 is still not fixed. there is no possibility to update a review
