One of the things that bugged me from the start with this game is the chatter happy crew chief.
Of course you can turn off speech entirely but then you also don't hear the lady in the garage who sometimes has something interesting to say.
It is rather simple to do:
Go to the folder in which GRID has installed the speechfiles (e.g. C:\Games\GRID\audio\speech\en\).
There I renamed some of the speechfolders in which the sound files reside which bothered me the most, I put an x in front of the foldernames so the 03_Damage folder becomes the x03_Damage folder.
I did this to the 03_Damage, 04_position, 08_accidents and Names_AI folders so far but you can customize it more if you want.
This way the game isn't able to find the speechfiles of the crew chief and the game suddenly becomes 200% better. =P
I haven't tested the game all the way through so glitches may happen, in that case just remove the x's.
