I purchased Race Driver GRID on the initial launch sale day here and I must say, after completing game - it is worth every penny, what an amazing game. But I'm not here to give a review (A slight moan maybe?). There is a problem, I know there has been a Question thread on this already. But this really needs to be brought to light. The front cover for GRID on GOG.com shows the McLaren F1 which is DLC car. The Bonus Artwork that is included with the game are of the DLC cars - yet the PC version has never received any of the DLC.

Both console versions received all of the extra content. (Link Below).

What is interesting is that the recently released Mac port of the game contains all the extra content (Link Below).

I would gather that Feral Interactive were responsible for porting the DLC over for the Mac. Nonetheless this is slightly ridiculous that nearly every single version of the game has the bonus content yet the PC does not. Even the Sega Arcade version contains two of the DLC cars!

I made this thread to bring this issue to the front. No matter how good the game is, as a customer I feel that the PC version has been somewhat 'shafted' and that we are receiving an incomplete game. So to Codemasters (If any of you ever read this), please consider porting all of the DLC to the PC and bringing it to all the places that you distribute the game - I would love to see all the DLC on GOG.com

Thank you.

Good luck with that. GRID is very likely not a big money-maker for Codemasters anymore, so why should they bother? They didn't bother before, so it's quite safe to assume they won't now.

People said the same thing about System Shock 2 which was at one time considered nearly impossible due to the legal issues. And now we have it. It's better than not saying anything. We are the customers - the source of their money. They obviously took the time to give the rights to Feral Interactive to port the game over to the Mac and release it this year on 28th March - five years after the game came out. So I see no reason why the DLC cannot be easily ported.

A negative and defeatist attitude won't take this anywhere either.

You'll have to ask Codemasters themselves if they would like to port the DLC ver themselves as all we are is a distributor in this case. Believe me, I'd like to have to have all of the content here as well but our hands are tied. Sorry :(
I don't have the game yet (but I'll buy it soon) and also feel kinda upset because the PC version doesn't have the DLCs.
BUT... I was looking for more info on the game and discovered a Steam thread where some guy got the DLC files from his Mac version and managed to have it on his Windows version by adding the files in the game's folder. Look for it.
If GOG gets the Mac version, everyone here could get the DLCs for PC this way.
Greetings,

Here's the answer from Codemasters customer service :

Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning Grid.

I'm afraid that we can't confirm any plans at the current moment in time to make the DLC available for the PC version of GRID.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
