markus43444: I can't seem to find the old dos setup to change the sound options. How does one find it from Dosbox? I open the quest for glory 1 icon and am able to to get to the DOS prompt but don't know what to do from there. Any help?
Yes, please anyone, input would be great! The music is really crappy...I need the good, original sound quality!
Use ScummVM!

It's incredibly easy to change the sound settings and plays QFG 1, 1 VGA, 2 and 3 perfectly!

Find the dosbox{game}.conf, make a backup of it, open it with notepad, and replace the command it runs (SCIHUDV.EXE, SCIV.EXE or SIERRA.EXE) with INSTALL.EXE (or in the case of QFG2 INST.EXE). Save, run the game from the start menu (or desktop) shortcut, and it should launch the install/setup process. Remember to change the config file back to the proper executable once you are done, so you can play the game again.
You could also use SCummVM, but you'd still need to run the install.exe for QFG4, since it's not compatible with SCummVM.
