QFG4 (forgot to put that in the subject and can't edit the subject now that I've posted)

This is the first time this has happened to me in playing this game a million times. When Davy was captured and thrown in jail on day 5, I talked to the Burgomeister both inside and outside as well as the 3 townspeople gathered around him. I told the Burgomeister that Davy was innocent, he's like that's cool find me proof. Tried talking to Davy, who obviously doesn't say anything. So right after I went straight to the cemetery and saved Igor. Returned to town, talked to the Burgomeister again, they're all happy I saved Igor, and Davy isn't in jail. Went to the adventurers' guild and talked to Igor to get the crypt key and went through all his and my available lines.

I tried then going to the gypsy camp that same day (during daytime): no luck. They're all in wolf form in a circle and won't let me pass. I tried again later that night: same deal. I tried again the next day (6), same deal, and again that evening, same deal.

I'm playing as a mage if it makes a difference.

I don't recall this being an issue ever. Any idea why the gypsies won't let me talk to them? I don't have anything else to do at the moment. I've already helped Punny, got the dark one spell from Baba, finished the Anna/Nikolai stuff, finished the Domovoi (both at the Inn and the monastery) and got the doll (did that by day 3), planted the tree back at Erana's garden, used the will-o-whisps on the squid stone, killed all wraiths (except the hard one due south of the cemetery). I drank from the fairy fountain sometime around day 3 or 4, saw their little dialog (they haven't appeared since).

This IS the first time I've used the Ashlancer patch, but I doubt that's the issue. Is there just some trigger I'm missing? I don't know what else to do.

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it resolved. I believe the issue was that I kept leaving the town right after I got up from sleeping, so the Burgomeister wasn't out yet doing his job (and obviously isn't around during the night). I wandered around outside on the 6th til close til noon, came back to town, and the Burgomeister started rambling on about how the werewolf threat has abated, opening up new dialog. After I exhausted all dialog trees, I walked right back to the camp and now Davy appears instead of the wolves. Seems I was too impatient to get going!

Not exactly. The issue was that meeting the gypsies is on a timer, and the earliest you can meet them is on Day 4 or 5. I believe Igor gets stuck underneath the tombstone on Day 3. But if you rescue him immediately, there is *some* "Igor was rescued" dialog that is triggered immediately on Day 3, but there is a bunch of other "Igor was rescued" dialog that only triggers on Day 4 or 5.

So after you rescue Igor, you're supposed to just continue playing the game for a day or so, and *then* go talk to the gypsies.

I don't think you actually need to hear the "Igor was rescued" dialog from the Burgomesiter. I believe that you just need to be on Day 4 or 5 after rescuing Igor in order to be able to speak to the gypsies.

This is a lesser-known glitch, but well known in the speedrunning community. Davy is only released from prison officially (according to the camp) when you hear Dmitri say he has been released while he is LEANING ON THE WINDOW outside of his building. Heading inside his place announces he has been freed but doesn't set the required trigger in the code. You can tell you're going to have troubles when you exit the inn on day 5 and the group isn't out discussing Igor's disappearance.

Speedrunners fix this problem ahead of time by going into Dmitri's house on an earlier day and exiting - it seems another trigger for the guys to appear outside on day 5 is entering Dmitri's. Most players never encounter this, because they're explorers.

The other way to set the code is to free Davy by breaking him out during the night. If you save Igor, you'll be good. But, Igor can actually die and you can complete the game this way - you just need to avoid Dmitri forever.

I'm glad you found a workaround.
