Does anyone have a solution to this bug? I encounter it when trying to enter the hero's bedroom at the hotel. I've tried adjusting the CPU cycles and game speed, but with no luck.

Interesting. Error 47 and Error 52 are well documented on the Sierra Help Pages, but Error 48 doesn't seem familiar.

I wonder if it's related to the issue addressed by the Quest for Glory 4 Note Patch (QG4NOTE). It's the only issue listed that mentions the hero's bedroom at the inn.

The GOG versions are supposedly pre-patched for these issues. Are you playing the GOG version from here?

I'm running the Steam version which I believe is essentially the same as the GOG one. I've scoured the internet and found some references to error 48, but no definite solutions.

I have seen so many errors pop up on the Steam forums that never popped up here that I'm inclined to believe they're not the same version for some reason.

It normally runs at 10,000 cycles

Well, that's clearly not the problem then :/ Hm.

I eventually deleted all game content from my computer and re-installed the qfg games. That seemed to correct the issue.
