Okay, so there are Point Lists for the game everywhere. What I cannot find is a list of how to LOSE points. Can anyone help?

-25 points for killing the bear
-5 points for getting drunk and thrown out of the bar
-10 points for cutting up a Spirea plant (and don't get the seed)

This puts me at -39 points (you start with 1), and after all of the unavoidable points and glitching to the end in the VGA using the dagger glitch and stat glitch, the lowest score I can get is 22 points. I need more negative points! :D Are there more?

-5 points for eating the acorn, but you gain 17 points for getting the Spirea seed, agreeing the help the dryad, giving the seed, getting the acorn, so this doesn't really help.
Don't you get minus points by getting robbed in the alley? I'm not sure, I always avoid it because I know it happens.

It was a great idea, but unfortunately, it doesn't do anything to your points. :/
I'm guessing killing the fox doesn't lower your score?

A couple of these make it impossible to beat the game. For example, if you cut up the Spirea plant, there is no way to win. You have to give the seed to the Dryad, and if you got it by cutting up the plant, the hero will tell the Dryad that he killed the plant and the Dryad will turn him into a Spirea plant. Also the acorn is needed for the dispel potion, so if you eat it, you're screwed. You can't get another one.

Mrprmiller is the guy who discovered - by pure accident - how to glitch the game so that he can trigger the ending sequence without the dispel potion. All you need is a dagger and the ability to enter the Brigand's Fortress.

How the glitch works is, you get to the Brigand Leader room, and of course, she jumps over the table and brandishes her sword. If you throw a dagger at this point, the game gives control of Ego back to the player - at which point, you can simply leave the room and automatically trigger the ending. In the VGA version, you can't grab the mirror, but this glitch exists in both versions for some reason.

Oh yeah, the fox! It's so horrible to kill it that I totally forgot about that one.

Also you can try attacking Henry the Hermit and Erasmus. Not sure if that lands you minus points though.

Pretty sure anything that triggers the Hermit's temper results in a game over.

Erasmus probably just teleports you to the bottom of the mountain no matter what you do, even if it's an aggressive action.

I once accidentally picked up something in his abode (or was it on purpose to see what would happen?) and he kicked me out, and never opened the door again.

And yeah, Erasmus just teleports you down to the bottom of the mountain and never lets you in again, which only screws over the mage if you haven't gotten the spell from him yet. It would be pretty hilarious if he would refuse to be your sponsor in QfGII if you had angered him in (but completed) QfGI. Haha!

I'm pretty sure, at least in the VGA version, that he does let you back in (not sure about EGA). I thought you could anger him as many times as you want and he'd always let you back in. And meeting him is not required to beat the game even if you are a mage. You don't need the dazzle spell at all in QFG1 and if you don't have it in QFG2, you can buy it from Keapon Laffin.

Also I'm pretty sure you can beat QFG2 even without going through the WIT initiation. I could be wrong, but I believe Ad Avis only casts the "turn-you-into-a-creature-most-resembling-your-soul" spell at you at the end if you have the Reversal spell, not necessarily if you are a mage or have magical ability. So if you are a mage or have magical ability but not reversal, he just casts fireballs at you, and you can beat him the same way the fighter beats him. If you're a fighter or a thief with magical ability and you have the reversal spell, then you have to beat the end of the game the mage way. At least that is what I have read.
Here's what we have so far. If there are more points to lose, this score can go lower! :D The game declares me a hero with a score of 13/500 in 3 minutes 51 seconds.

Not necessarily anything. If you try to steal from him, he'll warn you a few times. I believe you can attempt to take something from him 3 times with him merely warning you and not killing you.

Unless it's his candle. That seems to instantly make him mad.
