This is my first post, so apologies in advance if this topic has been brought up before.

Quest for Glory is one of my favorite series of all time and I wanted to revisit it in an era where CD Rom drives don’t exist.

I purchased the package and downloaded all 5 games, but when I try to play QFG1, it automatically takes me to the intro/credit scene instead of allowing my to choose between intro/create a character/continue. Once the intro ends, It goes directly to the character selection screen, pick my character, but am unable to allocate skills to any attribute. I would have to start the game without points then it goes in.

I am also unable to allocate points in QFG4 as well. (Being a long time player, I know you click the skill number to increase points, but that does nothing.

Spec wise, Iam playing off a 1.5 month old laptop with touchscreen capability, but playing with the mousepad. Windows 10 is the OS.

I’ve also sent a ticket to support, but hoping someone can help me here.

I’m not super savvy with DOSBox, so any advice would be very much appreciated.

Which QFG1? Does any keyboard input work? I guess you must be able to name your character. You can try replacing the bundled DOSBox with DOSBox 0.74-2. It has some fixes for newer Windows OSes.
