So, I had just swapped the blackbirds at Ferrari's house. I returned to Nawar, gave her the ring and she said "Go beat up Abduel" So I went outside to fight him AGAIN, and lo and behold, are the guards are now guarding Ferrari's house. So I went there, climbed up on the roof and fought the guard. Needless to say, there is absolutely no way you can fight Abduel again at this point. As an interesting side note, the guard that appears on the top of the house is indeed invincible. Once you take his life all the way down, your weapon doesn't even hit him anymore.

So, I realized the game must have tripped, and I reloaded an earlier save before I gave the blackbird to Ferrari. I gave Nawar the ring, beat the crap out of Abduel, went back and gave Nawar the ring again so she would ask me to show up Ferrari. She turned to Budar and is like look what my lover boy gave me. We'll have to wait for your coronation though. And I was like... Also, I had purchased 50 fruit at one point, my hero got hungry, I went to feed him and had no fruit. I'm pretty sure 50 fruit should last pretty close to the entire game.

My point is, has any one else experienced weird things like that? QFG5 was borked when it shipped, but there is a patch that fixes most of the problems. Does anyone know if GOG uses that patch?
You are not supposed to fight the guards at Ferrari's house. You fight Abduel when he guards the Dead Parrot Inn.

You got the points and the deed for marrying Nawar, but you only get to see the marriage with Nawar in action during the Chief Thief ending, which happens at the end of the game. It's the very last thing you see before the credits roll. To get this ending, you have to show the blackbird to Arestes. That's all you have to do if you never promised Ferrari anything. If you promised him that you would get the blackbird for him, you have to give it to him and steal it back. If you promise Ferrari the blackbird and don't give it to him, you get one of the few bad endings in the "Quest For Glory" series. It's worth seeing though, if you've never done it.
