After completing the Ritual of Peace on day 27, I traveled back to the Dead Parrot Inn and found I could be the champion. I paid my fees, and my first match was that night. I made a 1000 bet on myself, went straight to the arena, fought and won. But then when I go back to the Dead Parrot Inn the next evening to collect my gambling winnings, it says that I failed to show up for that first match and thus forfeited it. What's up what that? I reloaded my game right before signing up to be the champion and did the whole sequence again, but it again said I forfeited.

Someone on a different forum (http://www.agdinteractive.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=11526) reported the same problem. Head there if you'd like more details.
