I found the second note in the tavern, but when I went out to the range no one showed up. I tried going there later in the day and still no one.

Also, after "Enry invites me into his cave, the game always freezes.

I think you have to be there at the exact time it says, so if you show up later it doesn't happen - try arriving earlier or try a day later, if it didn't work.

Not sure about the freezes, have you installed any of the patches? Try installing the universal patch and if it doesn't work go to the sierra site and get theirs.

The meeting takes place at exactly noon. If the time says "morning" you're too early, and if it says "afternoon" you're too late. You have to on-the-dot.

What's weird is the second note on my playthrough (VGA) didn't actually say noon, it said something like as soon as possible. Regardless, it must be at noon. Also, try coming in from the left side. If you come in from other directions I'm not sure it'll trigger. From the left you can hide behind the wall & bushes.

There's a bug related to this. If you listen in on the meeting from the right side, wait for Bruno to leave, and then go east and south, Bruno will appear from the direction of the range and kill you with a dagger. If you go north instead of south you'll find Bruno waiting at his usual place by the city gate.

If you now head south twice again and Bruno will still appear from the range and kill you. Quick traveller I guess ;)
