Does Quake 4 require the Galaxy client? It doesn't say anything on the store page but the download includes Galaxy?

When you click on the game in your library, there's a drop-down box titled More. Under that, click Classic Installers to be able to download the game without Galaxy.

There is an installer of Quake 4 with GOG Galaxy included available because the game now supports cloud saves.
It seems all recently released games are like this. I was searching for the install locations of the games I had just gotten from the recent sale; Bethesda Quake/Doom and Some Forgotten Realms stuff, but they weren't where they usually were. I have a bunch of games in /Gog Games and now the new ones in /Gog Galaxy/Games <-I think that's what it is. I just know it's a different location. It's annoying because I don't want to have to run Galaxy every time I play a game. I disabled cloud saves, game overlay, achievements, I just want to play the game.
