angelus04: It appears everything works fine now. Have you created a program like this for Quake2 cause I have a feeling the same problem with the music exists with Quake2 as well
Sadly, I really have no way of knowing since they're not selling Quake 2 to Germans...
Danke, das habe ich just gebraucht! :)

Unfortunately i still have no music at all. Did they change anything? I did everything as mentioned above. :(

I also extracted wav files from gog soundtracks into /id1/music but there is none playing in the game. does the music start immediately when you start episode 1 or later in the game?

e1m1 already has the music. Something wrong happened. What engine are you using?
the default glquake. btw i read somewhere that ogg should work with that, i will try and report.
Well you prompted me to buy QUAKE, so congrats.
edit: n/m it works. Wonderful script! Now I'm trying to get quakespasm to play the demos in sequence like the original quake.

Hi. I followed the video, and it works perfectly, thank you !!

Just adding that as I wanted the music on the "Classic Quake" mode on QuakeHD 1.44, I also copied the corresponding music folders on the id1, hipnotic and roque of that said "Classic Quake" folder :)

It seems the music on the original Quake is mainly creepy ambient, but on the expansions is more rocking :D
Doesn't work for me. It says "FFMPEG not found".

That happened to me at first.
If I remember right, you have to unzip the three downloaded files in the same folder that has the quakespasm.exe file, and then you click on the cueToOgg.exe. It should start the process then.

same here actually ...
I was able create the ogg files without issue, but I'm not hearing any music in-game.

I've attached a screenshot of my install path & folder.

Please help.

I was looking around for an easy solution to put back music in Quake and you provided it. Thank you very much, your program worked like a charm. :)
