Hi all,
I don't know if anyone else shares my discomfort at watching bikini-clad ladies appear on my screen every time I try to play pinball. Or rather, my discomfort at my wife's discomfort.
I must have missed the bit where bikini-clad ladies used to crowd around pinball tables, watching the wizards at work...
Anyway, I created some new loading screens so that I can play pinball in peace, and uploaded the resulting files to:
http://www.nathanj.net/files/PP2LoadScreens.zip.
As far as I can tell, the .dds files are hangovers from an XBox version, but I converted them just in case.
If you want to use them, unzip the files to the data\menu directory in your PP2 install, probably at:
C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Pure Pinball 2.0\Data\Menu

I don't really want to remove the scantily clad ladies in question, but out of curiosity, what are you replacing them with?

Blackness, and/or whiteness.
I considered making a "loading..." screen, but even on my laptop the images appear for about 2 seconds maximum.
In North America, eGames released this as a value title dubbed "Pure Pinball Reloaded" in order to get the "e" for everyone from the ESRB, They had to omit the sexy artwork from the loading screens, something Iridion provided them with at the time.

Good for you domgrief! So mush better to have a happy wife hanging all over you than pictures that you do not need to see anyway. Good choice and good for your marriage.

Many thanks. Great idea! (I took advantage of the opportunity to replace the music as well...)
