Not really a big fan of the way the save system works, and is the reason why I've held off on buying the game. I mean even Wolf3D had a manual save system. Still with that said if the following features where to be added then it would sway me into buying the game.

1. Player Profiles so more then one player can keep progress in the game at a time. I'm married, and share a computer with my wife. She enjoys retro FPS games as much as I do so it makes it an annoyance to be forced to keep switching between manual back up saves just so nether of us will lose progress.

2. An option to export/import saves from in game. I've suffered my share of lost/corrupted saves over my nearly 30 years of gaming. I've seen the most stable save systems eventually create a corrupted save. It would be nice if at the very least an expot/import save feature was implemented to help prevent the issue, and would ease my paranoid mind on the matter.

3. Contengency exit saves to prevent progress loss when in the middle of a map. It happens we all have times where we need to quit the game sooner then we would like due to life taking over, or when something running in the background on the computer needs to force close the game for various reasons. Still this shouldn't punish the player by forcing a map restart. It should do what other games, like rogue-likes, did right by having an exit save to prevent progress loss. Map resets should be saved for when the player makes a mistake, and dies in game not when the player can't control outside forces.

Minor change that I wanted to note from watching a few videos/streams of the game. You may want to make the random ammo drops a bit less random in the early game. Maybe have the game detect what weapons the player currently has, and how much ammo for that weapon. This way they aren't getting shotgun ammo way before the shotgun shows up, and thus leaving the player with no pistol ammo.

oh, there also just one thing that irritates me a bit. It's nothing but I don't really like that when you pause the game, it pauses the music too :)

Wait you can have 2 save files by moving the file around? Where can i find it i'd love to do that, as there is no save slots yet

Yes, but you have to back up the game's registry files as that is where the game save is located. Problem is that you may need to reboot after restoring the registry save file. Not sure where in the registry the save is located as I currently don't own the game, and only know about it from reading other posts on the GoG forums for this game.

Please allow me to invert the mouse wheel for weapon selection!
I'm enjoying the game. I would like to see a kick etc. to break objects with without the need to switch weapons, to be able to change weapon modifications between the choices, and a run button that is not a toggle.

Hi

Axe seems broken, it hits slowly, sometimes locks up for half a second.

We need one more melee weapons, perhaps introduce upgrade to knife to turn it into dual wielded swords (fast attack, slightly weaker than axe also with leech)

The Scholar perk - I with it distributed a bonus stat between the 2 highest ones, not all 4...rng is stupid - I was playing melee build got 8 points into spirit...
I keep missing the chapter epilogues due to me not thinking and pressing buttons to move things along. Could you add them to the gallery somehow?

I'll change the input method to buttons on those screens. :)

It would be nice to be able to view the epilogues again after I have unlocked them too.

nokturnus: So far I very like the game (except for the performance issues I have with a 1080GTX but hope it will be patched) the only thing that bother me is with the axe. The recovery time is not really clear So I really expect to slash when I see the axe repositioning. It's quite disturbing to see the axe ready to slash in the UI but when you click nothing happen. Guess I just have todeal with it.

Anyway, the game is fucking awesome :)
It's all going to be fixed within the next patch. Promise <3

Jakub

Okay, but they would cover the nice Artwork in the gallery. What's your recommendation then?

Patch is almost done, it will require some testing before I release it so that nothing is broken for you guys. Hope to release it ASAP - It also includes minor fixes, improvements, balance improvements and some tweaks. It's a big one.

Some people have mentioned that a "quick melee" button would be nice, but thinking on it I think a more elegant solution would simply be to add the ability to bind all weapons in the controls menu. That would open up the option to bind any weapon including the axe to easier-to-access keys.
