DarkDemonXR69: Be patience, the dev is 19 years old...
This is not an excuse.

The developer must understand his responsibility when releasing an unpolished product bypassing the "in dev" state.

Moreover, we are not talking here about some game that was developed in the spare time and released for free. Project Warlock is a GOG's temporary exclusive that had a huge banner on the storefront (with a price tag) and aggressive promotion through the newsletter. People paid money for this "game" and absolutely reasonably want to get a proper gaming experience, instead of suffering from bugs and technical issues.

Stop using developer's young age as an excuse!

As far as I know he is pretty much aware of his responsability. If not he will dont give a shit on writing here on the forum. Maybe you are the typical arrogant user who by the excuse "I paid for your game, work for me like a bitch" want the patch right now because you just payed ooohhh 12$. I wish everyone have that attitude with 60$ games but you are wrong dude. Devs no matter if they are little or big... have their lives, moreover this one with 19 years old + plus the other artist, If the game needs a patch they will launch it when its done. Stop with that stupid argument pls.

If not try to compare you with 19 years old and your tipical age responsabilities and he with the same plus the stress on create and fix a product on one of the biggest gaming plataforms. Gog.com is not an unknow place underground with old games with no drm to download for free. If he does not fix the game in the end or fuck up the game in some way, dont worry, gog will do something about. In the mean time be patience and stop pushing ppl. Hurry will make the patch worse, and everyone know rush things on this industry end with a shitty product and lots of bugs.

DarkDemonXR69: Stop with that stupid argument pls.
Stupid arguments are "he is just 19 years old" and "this is his first project". Two most popular and absolutely unconvincing defense arguments for Project Warlock.

And the desire of people to get polished product instead of showelware isn't stupid at all. Especially on GOG, with their scrupulous curation system.

Like I said, there is an early access system for games like this. When you buy something with "in dev" sign on it, you know that it's something unfinished/unpolished and you're fine with all that waiting and stuff. Ion Maiden, for example. Yeah, a whole team is working on Ion Maiden, blah blah, whatever.

EA¿? pls no... I dont want lazy devs with no time points and abandoning the game. But wow, keep pushing ppl and devs to the infinite, if the game ends being shit because bad fixes we finally can blame ppl like you. Your excuses keep impressing me. Im not defending project warlock Im defending devs by the fact that they are humans and have lives with their responsibilities, including this game, if you cant understand that simple thing and keep saying nonesense things then keep going. The game if needs a lot of fixes is not going to be patched in a few days with a little dev team. Even bigger teams are slow on releasing their patches so... dont expect the same.

DarkDemonXR69: The game if needs a lot of fixes is not going to be patched in a few days with a little dev team.
The game that needs a lot of fixes shouldn't be presented as a finished product and especially as an exclusive for a platform that's famous for it's tough qualtiy control. At least in it's current "early-access-ish" condition, with all these bugs and performance issues.

I'm not saying that Project Warlock shouldn't be here. I'm just trying to explain that this game needed polishing before all that aggressive promotion, not after. That's why game owners are frustrated and impatient. I thought that it's pretty obvious and simple.

Let's look at the OP again. SpecialSidekick bought this game more than a week ago and still can't play it. Any convincing excuses here?

Tell that to every dev team in the world and every game released this days. Lots of fixes doesnt mean the game its unplayable. Most ppl finished the game already. I mean, I didnt finished yet because I want first the fix too, but its playable, and need too some mode or endless mode to give us more life to the game but. Again, Buckshot software is not ubisoft, valve or EA. And keep talking about this will not give us the patch now. I just dont want devs rushing things and I understand the size of the dev team means a lot in time fixing

That's actually two weeks ago as of today! No wait, two weeks and two days! XD

And no news forthcoming from the developer :(

At last the description is wrong - you can actually play it, but it´s sluggish as much as i understood the problem.

And yes, games should be polished at release, but there is a lot of lack in the compairsion between a giant studio with hundrets or even thousands of betatesters that run on a giant amount of different computer configurations (and still have a ton of problems here and there they never get fixed) compared to buckshot that tested the game......no idea, maybe on 25-50 machines before?

I actually have no problem with the game (Win 7 x64, 8GB, Xeon E3 1230 and a Nvidia 970 GTX) and no, it´s not my eyes in tricking me. I am gaming since 1987 and i exactly realize when something does not run as it should be.
Hi,

Current 1.0.0.2 build is undergoing Quality Assurance. It includes a lot of performance fixes, higher resolutions, balance, bug fixes, decreased overall darkness and much more improvements suggested by the community.

Best Regards,
Jakub
Salve,

Nice to hear!. And the "uncapped Framerate" will be for sure in the next patch right?. Because i didnt played the game
for more than 4 minutes because of the 60 fps framecap. I wait for the full glory 144 fps enjoyment \m/.

They listed uncapped framerate on Facebook in regards to the next patch, so I would say so.

Hi! Patch is coming soon - some big improvements are coming. We listened to our community - 1440p, 4k, 16:10 resolutions are coming in! Uncapped framerate, less darkness, game balance and bugfixes too!

This sounds very promissing. Could you possibly give an indication of how long the quality assurance will last?
Regarding the uncapped framerate the dev posted this on Facebook: "After unlocking the framerate in the patch that's being tested right now we found quite a few issues with it and framerate uncapping - unfortunately - will have to wait for the patch after the one we're working on right now. Again - sorry, as we announced it to be one of the features included with the upcoming patch. It's on us. We will make it work eventually, but this will take a bit longer than we expected. Sorry guys!"

Sounds like the classical issue of animations being tied to the framerate if you ask me. More and more I get the idea that the developers of this game have no clue about how to program on Unity...
