On the games discord, one of the devs recently said bugs were found in the mac and linux builds. They are still coming just not at EA launch.

Thanks to you for this information MadGrenadier :-)
They’re still working on it, that’s reassuring.
I know it’s listed as “currently in development”, but I’m concerned about the sudden disappearance of our support without announcement.
Problems with the Linux version it is strange ...

I took the liberty of copying the comment for ease of translation needs:
Generalvivi 05/11/2020:
we tested linux and mac versions, but they had bugs. We will have to work on them after EA launches. FOR NOW though, use proton for linux, but eventually we will get proper support. Just takes time since we don't own a linux build, We'll set up a test branch for that in the future and linux users can help test it.
same with mac

"we don't own a linux build," Really strange.

Do they not own the linux plugin for unity to open external assets maybe and the default asset container limitations are causing an error ?.

wayke: the default asset container limitations are causing an error ?.
That is interesting.
If I understand, they should do an Injection of Linux dependencies in Unity, is that sela?
Personally I am really pleased with this new knowledge.
Thank you wayke.

if the development team is blocked by this concern, it is not reassuring. No?
Isn’t that basic for a developer?
But we have a possible explanation, thank you again.

I don't know how Unity is structured now they seem to have so many tiers it looks horrible to navigate to what you want or need, When I had used Unity I wanted to compile my project on Linux and Windows and Android and to use any external files I had to buy a plugin and I just ditched it all even though the mechanics and scripts are easy to implement not overly impressed by the performance.

Prodeus developers are not beginners.
If they sincerely work on the Linux version, promised and funded on Kikstarteur...
The Linux version will soon be finished, and for sale here.

What worries me is the lack of news.
Once translated into my language, their message is a polite formula, which does not bring anything clear.
It’s not solid, it’s strange: "possibly" "we don’t have a Linux build"
I don’t understand what they mean?

I’m sorry about your game, I took time to respond to find a solution to your concern, but...
Maybe a forum for help? (I couldn’t think of anything better.)
The creator of Pumpkin Jack has learned to use Unity on YouTube, but he is in computer school, investing to understand and succeed a project of this magnitude is greatly difficult.

Those Default Company / Corporation responses rile myself up also, it always appears that they're making 2 statements "we've hired people who're not going to try" and "we don't care at all but we will use inclusive words to appear that we do and we do" just to keep regulators and critics off their back so they can appear shiny, And the shill will plod along find a forum and blame the users or the consumers very sad very disrespectful of customers.
It seems that the Linux version was not abandoned, here I am reassured.
I know how to be patient, what’s important is that we get there.

If you see news that interests us, I am not against a small announcement here ... as you have already done. ;-)
Thank you.
