After beating level 1 and seeing the level stats (kills, secrets, time, etc...), the game wouldn't do anything when I clicked "continue" to go from the stats screen to the next level. I will play again and see if this bug occurs again. Anyone else have this issue?
Yep, same for me here. Completed the level a second time in hopes that it was just a quirk, but it happened again.

I hoped this having been an early access game would have ironed out issues of that caliber.

I have the same problem, really annoying actually.
By any chance do other people experiencing this also did not login / create an account for the online features (whether through galaxy or manually?)

I am wondering if that is the reason more people, spsecially over on steam, not experiencing this.
I had the same problem with at least 3 levels (including level 1). I found that restarting the level would solve the problem - the "continue" button now worked and I could carry on with the game. Until I got to level 8 that is, and now no amount of restarting will do anything. Nothing else I've tried has worked either, I'm effectively locked out from experiencing the rest of the game.

Frustrating.
I had the same problem after playing through the first level twice.

I wasn't signed in when I experienced the problem, but I signed in afterwards. I'll probably check if that fixes it in a short while (unless somebody already has had the problem while signed in, of course).

Same thing here, it's impossible to login/create an account for me.

Thanks, I'd be happy for an update :)

While we're on the topic - where the heck are we supposed to create an account? I don't want to install Galaxy just for this, and however stupid that sounds, I can't manage to find anywhere the ProNet website. One thing googles up, but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the game.

It seemed to fix the problem for me. I was able to click continue, and after that the game asked me to rate the level. I doubt that's a coincidence. However, I turned off my wi-fi to test if it would happen again in the second level, and it actually didn't, it just skipped over the level rating screen. I wonder if signing in at least once fixes the issue. I should note I uninstalled and reinstalled the game as well, but all of the app data and settings were the same, so I doubt that's related (might still be worth a try for others though).

One other thing is that the game comes with an offline mode, which is easy to miss if you just launch the game from a desktop shortcut. It wasn't there in early access if I remember right. The bug might not affect that mode.

I think making an account requires Galaxy for the GOG version, though I'm not 100% certain of that.

Thanks for the update! Guess my suspicion was correct.... hope they fix that sooner than later.

How does one launch it in offline mode? Is it a flag to the exe or something?

Edit: yes, it is an "-offline" argument that can be added to the exe (plus apparently gog installs a shortcut for that as well.

I'm diving in to check if it fixes the problem for me.

Sadly, nothing. The offline mode did not help with the problem - I even started a new game entirely (including the intro/tutorial level).

The fact that there are no manual saves just adds insult to injury - meaning I have to walys replay the whole level to check if some change works... I am this close to asking for a refund. Which is a shame, since the game itself is awesome.

Same here. Offline mode tried. At the end of the first episode, the continue button makes a noise when I click it, but nothing happens. Can't hit ESC either.
Same thing happening here, hoping for a fix soon.

Edit: it's definetely an issue of the game trying to connect to those servers, works perfecty fine in offline mode (which from what I can see you only can access with right click on the Galaxy client, though I'm sure it's a launch parameter) and while logged into the online account using Galaxy.

Edit: found the fix. Go to the usual shortcut GoG installers/Galaxy create, right click on it, delete -goggalaxy=enabled and put -offline. It won't pester you anymore with the account stuff.

So it sounds like the only fix someone has found so far it to play it through GOG Galaxy in offline mode? I've never used Galaxy but may install it to continue progressing in the game. I did a fresh install and the bug still occurred. The "continue" button at level completion/stats screen did nothing but make noise when you click it, and I couldn't progress.

Is there a way this bug can be reported to the devs, or is this forum where they will find out? I don't want to use GOG Galaxy or online stuff, I've always played GOG games with the backup installers. This bug didn't occur in the early access version, which sucks because I easily played through all that with no bugs.

EDIT: I reported the bug to Humble Games website. I still wonder if the devs will see the issue on this forum too. I am awaiting the Humble Games bug report response.

Fromt what I've seen, putting -offline in the desktop shortcut seems to completely fix the issue without the need of Galaxy , as it removes the menus that refer to the online system in-game. Closest thing to a fix for now.
