I still have a copy of The Web, but didn't play it the last few years. Out of curiosity I installed it again and I can play it on my Windows 8 pc. But I only have music and no mechanical sounds (flippers etc.). I don't remember if they should be there.
Does anyone know and if they should be there how I can fix this ?

It should have sounds, you could try installing DirectX.
