This game has good graphics and music, but overall it is just too frustrating. You will die too often, and there are no many save points. also camera sometimes works buggy, and doesn't shows what it supposed to.
Yes it is. Auto-camera is so stupid. I cannot get through fight in throne room to help farah... I have tried that for ten times. :-D
Auto-camera? Do you have a mouse by any chance which you could use to control it?

In the throne room just make sure you make your way to the fountain as fast as you can and fight in the water. Then you can just quickly put your sword away and drink if you're low on health, just make sure you won't be hit before you gain enough life.

Once you get to know the 3-4 different types of enemies, fights are easy.
thanks for the tip. I have mouse and I'm using it but sometimes it automatically change view. SOMEHOW. But not everytime I appeciate it :). Especially in combat when I'm loosing overview.
I'll try it again but I have also planescape torm. in my playlist now :-).

I know right? Its annoying as all hell
It must depend on who the player is because I barely ever die. Not trying to sound cocky, just saying that maybe the game controls work better for some people than others.
Frustrating? The game was easy, and sadly short.

It needed more instances of split second decisions. You have a dagger that rewinds time, they had more opportunities to abuse that.

I hope you don't mean QTE.

Because I hate them.

No idea what that acronym stands for.

Quicktime events. Or, in the words of Yahtzee, "press X to not die."

Sometimes they can be okay. Sometimes. But lately they've infested cutscenes everywhere, and often have a ludicrously short timer, so missing your button presses because you thought a cutscene was a safe time to take your hands off the keyboard and eat some chips or something means instant failure and death.

You don't see them very often in PC games, or at least you didn't used to, but they pop up in console games (and thus their to-PC ports) all the time. For a particularly egregious example see Resident Evil 5.

Actually, I meant more along the lines of, "OH CRAP, the floor just dropped in front of me! JUMP! DODGE! STOPPPP!"

The only instance of that the game ever really had was the run down into the prison, which sadly suffered from just being repeated things you had to do over and over. Needed a surprise in there, lull you into a pattern and then break it.
As for me, I was really frustrated by two battles. The rest of the game is easy. But IMO there really is some problem with the difficulty of the fights. Some fights were painfully difficult, others - barely noticeable (INCLUDING the final one).

Yeah, that wasn't really as challenging as it should be, and there wasn't even reason to use the dagger of time as you could simply block each of his attacks with ease. I'm surprised and disappointed with that, but the next two games are way better.

I'd like to see for myself, but unfortunately, the other two parts of the trilogy are absent from GOG because of reasons unknown. :(
It being a Ubisoft game, I'm wondering if this is the antecedent for all the worst aspects of the Assassin's Creed series. Which is to say, the first instance of a timed obstacle course immediately triggered my "fuck that shit" reflex, and I haven't played it again since.
