JudasIscariot: Hi guys,

Just wanted to inform you that we have not only updated the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time installer but went ahead and fixed the fog issues that some Nvidia users have been experiencing with the game. Please download the new installer and enjoy Prince of Persia: Sands of Time with the fog working properly :D.

Have a nice day!

darkredshift: The fog bug doesn't seem to be fixed. I only saw it in the main menu but I turned the fog off immediately because I'm not taking any chances.

EDIT: I've now been playing the game and the fog bug definitely is not fixed. It fills the screen and you can't see where you're going, just like in the previous installer. And I did use the new one.
Try changing all settings related to fog in hardware.ini file to 1:
[CAPS]
NonPow2Textures=0
StreamsCount=16
PureDevice=1
WFog=1
ZFog=1
PixelFog=1
FogRange=1
VertexFog=1
ZBias=1
SquareOnlyTextures=0
CanStretchRect=1
AlphaPalette=1
MaxVertexShaderConst=256
FullscreenGamma=1
AllowDisableVSync=1
ShadowScaling=1
ColorDiffusion=1
ForceVSFog=1
InvertFogRange=0
ZEnableFix=0

Hopefully this helps

EDIT: Forgot that you need to change InvertFogRange to 0. Anyway this fixed the fog issue for me. Just try the setting above.

Thank you, this fixed fog for me on RX580.
So I have a question. Do I want to play these games on GoG or on Ps2?
you can't mod the ps2 version for widescreen, so seems like an easy answer
Wow, finally this fog effect properly works on modern GPUs. this incompatiblity was started long time ago, I think when I have GeForce GTS450 more then 10 years ago, I have all white menu screen and fix that help with it also disable all sand fog clouds in game. Now they work as it was when game was new and fresh (you can see it on screenshot near debris).
