Hi there all. I bought and started playing this game here on gog (for 30 min. or so then went on to something else) about 6 months ago and wanted to continue with it yesterday but now it wont even start and the only thing that comes up on the screen is well see below for the error. The only thing I've done so far is to uninstall download/reinstall the but to in avail.

Btw the Demo I just downloaded from Wormwood Studio their own site works just fine. So I'm guessing it's a GOG thing right? Anyway thanks in advance for any help & happy gaming all!!!

There was a problem initializing graphics mode 1280 x 800 (32-bit).
(Problem: 'The requested adapter mode is not supported')
Try to correct the problem, or seek help from the AGS homepage.

Possible causes:
* your graphics card drivers do not support this resolution. Run the game setup program and try the other resolution.
* the graphics driver you have selected does not work. Try switching between Direct3D and DirectDraw.
* the graphics filter you have selected does not work. Try another filter.

Can you navigate to the game's folder and run Winsetup.exe and try some of the following:

(1) Switch from DDraw to D3D or vice versa.
(2) Turning off any filters (e.g., 4x nearest neighbor)
(3) Switching from fullscreen to windowed mode?

Hi there Mark W. hope your having a great Friday.

So sorry it's taken me soooooo long to get back w/ you on your suggestion on fixing this game. The #1 option although for me anyway was somewhat different but indeed helped me and the game now works just fine! Thanks ever so much for keeping an eye out on the forums to help your game buyer out! God Bless you friend big-time!!!

Hooray! Glad it worked!
Thank you WormwoodStudio - I couldn't get this to work and GOG support just didn't bother to respond. Your suggestions for Windows 10 has worked brilliantly - DirectDraw 5 and no filters and it worked full screen. Can't wait to start playing.

Awesome, so glad it worked! I think GOG actually has fantastic support, but they're stretched thin as the platform continues to grow. (That said, it's been ages since I had time to play a game, so maybe things have changed...)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the game!
