Powerslide is in my opinion the best racing game ever and to see it on GOG was a fantastic moment. I still have the original disk and manual a picture frame on my wall!

after installing the GOG version though, I was a little disappointed. I admit that maybe I did have high hopes but unfortunately I cant even get the game running to the point that I can enjoy it.
Maybe some of the forum members may have some advice or even the GOG team.

My problems are as follows:
1) Mouse movement is slow and jerky in the menu's.
2) No native aspect ratio or resolution support. The game always looks distorted.
3) No bump-mapping on textures in-game.
4) When in a race, everything seems to be running in slow motion, car movement is jerky and laggy.

I have looked though the GOG forums for any help, but seem to be unable to find any. If anyone can offer some assistance it would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure what the problem could be, the game runs well on my PC, though I don't know about bumpmapping.
You should be able to set higher resolution with the nGlide configuration program.
If you want gog support, I suggest you submit a ticket because they rarely visit the subforums.
Are you running the 3Dfx renderer or the software renderer?

Whichever one you're using, perhaps try the other one?

If it's 3Dfx which is the problem, you might try one of the other Glide wrappers around...
Did you manage to fix it?
I am experiencing the same issues - Dell Laptop with integrated graphics
Install the newest version of nGlide, and copy all the glide and 3dfx files (there are 6) + the Nglide config to the games installation folder. When in the game, under graphics select the 3DFX render (might have another name) instead of the software render.

That fixed it for me.
Where are these files please and what are the file names, thanks
