Toploader: Just to confirm it's 100% coming to GoG, hopefully sooner rather than later (the delay is our end not GoG's). Hope you all enjoy it!

marcinshaq: We are currently in a major crunch, but don't worry, Paradise Lost WILL be definitely coming to GoG.

We've always been against DRM, you can even run your Steam copy without having to log-in. Apologies that you have to wait for so long, but as I've stated above we are in a major crunch. Hope you guys understand.
Coming up on a year since we got this badass trailer for Paradise Lost... thought I would post it to re-energize the masses... Hope all is well at RWS and cant wait to play P2:PL!

Also, can we get any information on POSTAL Redux (the major crunch?) or Postal ///coming to GOG.com?

Edit: OK so I found out Redux is coming here according to steam forum post ^_^

rejzor: Just got the word from guys who run around with scissors. Expansion Paradise Lost is coming to GOG as well! It will be released a bit later than elsewhere, but they have it planned. Can't wait!
"A bit later"...
Should I assume that the expansion is never going to make it here?
Paradise Lost is now available for $0.90 during the current Humble sale but it's still not available here.

What gives?

The Banner Sage people said something to the effect that preparing a DRM-free build took them an afternoon. If there's a will, there is a way. Besides, gog is doing "In Development" now! Whatever features RWS wants to implement for the gog build (you know, those that have supposedly delayed the release here for over a year), just forget about them for now, dump the current build here, mark it as "in development" and fix that shit later. Because frankly, I'm tired of waiting. I'm more than willing to cut struggling indie devs some slack, but this delay is getting ridiculous.

Me too... :-(

Until everyone buys from Steam and accept DRM... so, yes. Never.

Well, to be fair maybe in a couple of centuries humanity as a whole will be enlightened enough to understand how DRM are bad. Now are are in the same situation of one century ago where women or black people could not vote.

I'll be optimistic then, instead of "never" I would say "not in our lifetime" and thanks people who do not care.

I'm hoping 'Paradise Lost' does in fact make it to GoG. Anymore, the Steam app on my laptop is acting up, so any chance I get to avoid it is welcomed......plus, 'Postal 2' and its expansion are what make life worth living.

Much appreciated! I am getting this! I can wait!

It will be here. RWS just wants to test its add-on on Steam users before put it in GOG. And - oh, yes! - check this out! :-)

Thanks for the heads up, but it sounds a little funny. It's kinda: "We are against guns, so you can buy our weapons without bullets."
I live in Germany but I own Postal 2 here on GoG.
Now that Postal 2 is sadly deleted from the German shop i'd really like to know if I still will be able to buy Paradose Lost when (if) it is released.
In Steam it is still possible but i don't own Postal 2 there since I always wanted to wait for it to be released here on GoG.
Can anyone confirm this? Pretty please with sugar on top...

By deleting games like Unreal Tournament and Postal GoG makes me feel like this little boy on the left.

Really? Bad things happens... Even if I live in Russia, where all games (almost all) come out without restrictions, sometimes I bought UK keys for some games like Manhunt, Max Payne (honestly, it can be bought in Russia but only with disquisting russian translating voice from 1C-Logrus (bad company, especially Logrus, they have broken many good games with their bad translation) and also mobile version of POSTAL is still not available in russian region of Amazon. Anyway, I perfectly understand you.

Oh, really? I heard the opposite things in Steam Community.

Ask Toploader, he is the leader in RWS development team now.

Even Unreal and UT? Really bad things happens...

Maybe, these games were deleted because USK? I heard much about this company.

It is the "BPjM" ("Bundesprüfstelle für jugendgefährdende Medien", could be translated litteraly to "federal testing centre for youth harming media"). Some games have been connected to cases of murder when someone went postal (!). There are cases when games are censored and the blood has been removed (Half Life), you are shooting robots (ridiculous, soldier of fortune 2 or command & conquer, red alert) or some missions are taken from the game (GTA Vice City, you cannot get a 100% playthrough in the German version). Luckily nowadays this isn't such a great matter anymore, games like Bioshock Infinite are not indexed although you can cut off heads with that hook-thing. If you are interested what has been censored in which game feel free to browse this side.
Games that are already on the index have to stay there for about 25 years. Doom has just been removed from that index. Fallout 3 (international) has been removed from the index (it has been sold in a censored German version without blood and in crappy German translation only) because of its similarities to New Vegas (Ultimate Edition) which has never been on the index. The new Wolfenstein (New Order) may be sold in Germany to adults, but only censored. There are no Nazis (you are battling "the Regime" instead) or Hakenkreuze in the game because they may only appear in art (movies like every trash nazi zombie whatever gore movie), but videogames aren't considered as "art".
You know, from those times when the BPjM had it's rampage with indexing games that they thought would make people go on killing sprees the following sentence has its origin:
"Every homicidal maniac drinks water within 24 hours before his spree. Forbid water!"
GoG has long been a save haven to me since you were able to get Aliens vs Predator, Unreal Tournament or Postal 2. Since Paradise Lost is not on the index yet (and I hope it will stay that way) and is still available on Steam (while Postal 2 itself has been removed) I pray that it will be purchasable for the German users here on GoG.

Just saw Paradise Lost advertised in the Steam sale for $1.09 CAD, which is probably about $0.80 USD right now and I can't help but think that they're not making a hell of a lot of money off of that. Since they promised that it would come here like 1.5-2 or more years ago or it seems that way anyway and there's nothing to show for yet, IMHO the combination of complete radio silence and the presumed very low profitability of the game, coupled with the engineering manpower it takes to build a GOG build and send it to GOG, almost practically guarantees that we'll never see Paradise Lost here on GOG.com, and that if they ever did provide it here it would most likely never see any patches or updates as there is likely little to no incentive for them to spend time working on the game anymore at such a low price.

Since they promised the game would come here and a ridiculous amount of time has went by now with nothing to show for, I have to say that I wont be buying the expansion on Steam either (I'd have to also rebuy the base game there too) as that would be supporting what now appears to be either dishonesty or perhaps overeager wishful thinking. This does sadden me though as I really liked the Postal games and I really liked Running With Scissors. Very disappointed that they've treated the GOG community as second hand citizens, but I don't think they're evil or bad intentioned necessarily either. But you can have the best of intentions and it doesn't mean much unless your follow-through actions match.

In the future should RWS release any new games, I wont buy them unless they are released on GOG on the game's official release day. Even then I will hold back my purchase in order to wait for game patches to come out and see if we get them on GOG immediately or at least on the same day they appear on Steam. If we don't, then I wont spend my money. The counter argument to that might be an official comment like "We're a small team" or something, but there are tonnes of games on GOG made by small teams that have no difficulties synchronizing their releases between GOG and Steam.

Maybe Postal 2 and Paradise Lost will end up in one of the bargain bin Bundlestars or Humble Bundle bundles sometime in one of those 10 games for $2 deals or similar. Wont buy such a bundle just for the game, but if there's a bundle I want for another game and it happens to come with that game, that's about the only way I'll own it now other than winning it in a steamgifts giveaway or something.

I'm not angry though, just pretty disappointed. It'd be nice to see RWS return from the ashes and make a big comeback with some big blockbuster game though, something nasty and violent and disgusting. Something to make religious groups go apeshit over. :)

Ah well, at least we do have Postal 2 with the update, although I don't even know if we ever got the latest patches for that or not either.

Update:
I thought a bit more and realized that with the prices it is selling on Humble, Steam and elsewhere currently, I'm not even sure if GOG would accept this here now as probably all the money that can be squeezed out of it has already been squeezed through Steam/Humble/wherever. And if they did accept it here now, they probably will sell it for like $15 and put it on sale for $10 on a future big sale or something, or change the numbers to $10 and $5 on sale etc. whatever the case may be the GOG price would probably be 2-4 times the Steam bargain bin price.

The only thing that'd shock me now is if they brought it here and just included it for free for existing Postal 2 users who already own the game, or gave a 90% off loyalty discount or something that meets or exceeds the discounts found elsewhere. Highly unlikely mind you, but they've really let us down so it's some wishful thinking at least.

I don't want to disappoint you but I want to tell you the truth: almost all RWS developers have left and now most of all RWS team are the people from Resurrection Studios (they have made Eternal Damnation). Complete version, Paradise Lost and Redux are their games, just with words "Made by RWS". But Vince and Mike are still in that company. They advise guys from Resurrection Studios and publish their games.

And about PL... It's hard to recommend it because it looks like yet another fan-made add-on (obviously, this IS the yet another fan-made add-on, but with Vince's and Mike's leadership). Open world is good (much better than AW add-on), but some things dissapoint. And optimization is the worst of all POSTAL games. But after beta-testing on Steam users, I guess, it looks now much better and people can play in it almost without bugs.

Anyway, after Redux I really hope that they'll make remake of POSTAL 2 or finally next game on UE4, for example.
