I have just spend 30 mins of my life wondering why the link wasn't working untill I realized that itsbecause i am in Germany. Thanks a lot GOG. Please don't do this again.

Unfortunally this Giveaway does not work in Germany.
Makes you feel so sad, if there is something for free but you are not allowed to get it -_-

Even more frustrating is that some really fun games like Commandos, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway or the old Aliens Vs Predator (1999) can not be bought on GOG (from Germany).

Being able to play f.e. Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway without DVD would be so great ...

Any GOG game that is unavailable in Germany can be purchased as a gift code by someone else, then gifted to the German. (Or you could use a VPN to simulate being in another country, though that may be frowned on in some cases.)
In this case, unredeemed gift codes from the giveaway are valid through the 30th of this month, and I know there are at least a couple threads in General Discussion (English version, maybe in the DE version as well) where people are giving away extra codes for this, and probably donating codes for the newly-(permanently)-free original Postal.

I've got one code for Postal 2 to give to anyone who replies to this post. (First come, first served.) Just make sure your Chat privacy setting is set to accept messages from anyone, and I'll PM you the code. EDIT: Code was taken. But anyone else should be able to find a spare giveaway code easily enough (for a little while...), either in GOG's forums, or somewhere else like Reddit. Good luck!

Oh, I did not know that others can gift you games you can´t buy for yourself. This sounds like a good way to get some of the old games I liked so much on GOG :-) Thank you very much for your answer.

Well I'm also from germany and I got informed about this giveaway through a site named "grabfreegames.com". If you look into the giveaway of Postal 2 you can see a link named "Instant claim". Well, what should I say, I have the game now. I was logged in into GOG before, so prepare yourself before clicking the link.
