Since censorship is still an issue in germany, and this game hasnt been rated yet, i suggest germans to buy it now so its guaranteed theirs even when it gets banned.

I got Postal 2 on GOG before they had to block its sale in germany as well.
Yeah, it'll probably happen at some point in the future. Thankfully you can still buy and activate our games if you buy them directly from us so even if it gets banned, you'll still be able to buy and play it :)

People who buy it before a ban still get to play it. Tho im not sure about patches and other content updates.

I heard game codes from other countries where theyre not banned work too but i cant verify that.

Germany is crappy with bans and censorship.

PS: Im glad you guys made a new Postal game, i was hoping the franchise wouldnt die.
Germany bans a game like this yet lets hundreds of crimes go below the radar because of Political correctness. Gotta love the stupidity of Germany decision to ban games while ignoring real problems.

that doesn't work with postal redux. i tried it. Can't activate it. Will wait for the gog release. Here it will be no problem to buy, if they don't change anything in this time.
Honestly, i doubt it will happen anytime soon or at all for that matter.

The german gaming landscape today is very different one than during Postal 2's release. Heck, we have 100% uncut Wolfenstein titles now (TNO, TOB, TNC, Younblood and Cyberpilot). And Wolf3D is off the index. Completely unthinkable a decade ago.
You mean it get's indexed by the BPjM? No problem because adults can buy those games still legally which also counts for the so called banned (by court) games like Manhunt and so on.

Postal 2 isnt unbanned yet and neither is RTCW and theyre both on GOG. Im glad i got Postal 2 when GOG didnt have it blocked for germans yet.

So im just warning those that want Postal 4 just in case it does get banned.

Postal 2 isn't banned, it's indexed on list A. It can even be sold here in germany, as long as it's not done so openly (and of course to anyone under the age of 18).

Also, games are only removed from the index automatically after 25 years. Until then, the publisher needs to request a list removal. Postal 2 being de-listed from there would be a realistic scenario. Though i don't know if and how much that would cost RWS, so in the case of Postal 2, i wonder if it's even worth doing at this point.
Technically this game can be banned right away in Germany. (Folgeindizierung)

It has similar violence shown in the screen shots, so you should remove the screenshots with the gas canister, and the head shot.

Same goes for the video, it shows the same level of violence like Postal 2.

Cat silencer, shovel weapon, ...

By just having the option to finish the game without violence won't save it.

The option to do the violence will get it banned.

It just has not yet happened, that somebody with the necessary authority reported the game to the censor office for video games (BPjM).

(Folgeindizierung -> If any previous Game from a series has been banned than it can get fast track banned. All previous Postal games are on the Index (light ban list) )

]EDIT: Change Inchaltsgeich with Folgeindizierung.]

Maybe. Maybe it changed but I doubt it. Rating board here has become very easy on the pocket money when you slip em some, gore isn´t an issue anymore. Swastikas still are and the general issue with unintentional historical revisionism. It ain´t 1999. BUT Dying Light got banned. So theres that.... but then again choking zombie children was the tipping point for em as well.

At first but maybe, but well, who can avoid the government these days with VPN, everybody, works fine on gog too thankfully.

Who knows why they ban certain things like dying light but not Red Dead where gore is actually psychologically gruesome as in stranger missions. Wolfenstein came through 100% due to bethesdas pocket money. Corrupt, they seem to be, USK is a wonky motherfucker, on the other hand, they also take stuff off from the index after some years..... all just depends on publisher action. sadly.

I was thinking the same thing. I joust bought it yesterday because it is still available here in germany. First I wanted to wait until the game is finished instead of buying early access,

Its also cheaper if you buy it now plus that supports the devs during development.
