I've been trying to install and run Populous on my Mac through Crossover, and it seems to install well enough but, I've encountered two problems.
The first is that after installing Populous it doesn't show up anywhere that I can find it.
The second is that when I launch it from the installer window it gets to a white screen and then moves no further. Is anyone else having this issue?
My crossover version is 13.1.2
Yes mate, I've been having the exact same problem and cannot seem to find a fix on any forums anywhere (both the gog and crossover forums).

Its so frustrating as I love all those classic Bullfrog games more than any others on gog, yet always seem to have an issue one way or another on the mac versions (had to play Dungeon Keeper PC version just to get the music working, and Syndicate Wars I have no music...it sucks balls).

I have Crossover Version 13.2 (13.2.0.27771), and noticed your post is from June 2014, so was wondering if you had sorted this problem since then? If you could give any advice it would be most appreciated.

Thanks.
I've figured out the problem.

When you download the GOG version, they've created some very convenient shortcuts for Windows users, unfortunately for Crossover those shortcuts don't work. Instead, if you go into your Populous bottle and then use the "Run Command" button/icon and then search the window that pops up, you should find a popTB.exe file that you want to use. This should make the game run for you.

Good luck!
