lol... okay seriously? This information is so critical that it needs to be voiced aloud? I love the other police quest games but man, Sonny Bonds never felt the need to say "Im pushing the button to call the elevator" i mean... lmao. Its a PNC adventure, the whole point is to figure out what to do... But they thought they needed to say stuff like that? lol what is this, preschool? We're not gonna be able to figure out how you got in there... detective?
In those times Sierra games tried to emulate a fiction like narrating style. In the case of Police Quest a detective style narration.

Personally, I loved that style of adventures as the narrator usually gives quite a lot of extra information. I agree that in PQ4 some of the things the narrator said are somewhat self explanatory.

King's Quest 5 is better, since not only do you get a bit much narrating at times, but also Cedric the owl...

At least I know now to stay away from snakes.
