After Quick launcher the game windows does not show up, only minimized in taskbar. Switching between fullscreen and windowed mode did not help...

all my other gog games do well...
What goes wrong?

It doesn't solve your problem, but I have installed the latest patch 1.06g without any real problems. All I noticed was that the initial loading time seemed to be longer when I launched 1.06g for the first time, and the game minimized before the main menu showed up. Clicking on the game icon in the task bar returned the game screen immediately (full-screen).
All subsequent launches went normally.

Did you use the small patch file (I did), or did you re-install the whole game? It may be worth trying to run the small patch file (again). In the worst case, you may have to uninstall the game (keeping your saves), to re-download and re-install the full 1.06g package.
Have you had a look at the Steam forum (1.06g is available there, too)?

By the way: I just checked the icon I use to launch the game (created by GOG during the installation). It runs autoexec.exe in the game folder. Is this what you mean by "quick launch"?

Yes, I have updated, before uodate the game launched!

Even if I start directly

h:\Games\GOG\Polaris Sector\PolarisSector.exe

same issue happen ..

I verified the game files via GOG. Same result game.exe is in task bar and i am not able to maximize via click or taskswitcher. ...strange....

I have found an option: when I activate "Force OpenGL" in Game Settings then Full Screen shows..

Newvertheless should be FIXED!

Hi,

I can report too that it starts without any problem on my system.
Just gave the game a quick glance and the only thing i noticed was an automated light dampening effect which is reassuring since i have a game with a very dense galaxy center..

I know this does not help you with finding a solution but i felt that it could help for you with identifying the problem.

I use a win 10 pro machine coupled with a xeon and a 1060

Reinstalling the updated game from GOG should solve your problem
