[SOLVED] (see reply)

Planet of Lana caused a lot of sluggish behaviour on my desktop when the second monitor was plugged in.

My system is UbuntuMATE 22.04 (X11 w/- LightDM manager), Wine 8.0.2. Have both onboard AMD card as well as NVIDIA RADEON 2060, driver 535.86.05.

Ran perfectly fine with the Steam version. Also ran fine without second monitor plugged in.

I've also posted a bug with Wine (cannot post URL: see wine bugzilla id #55597).

Looks like this was a case of the incorrect graphics card being used. Running via:

__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia wine Planet\ Of\ Lana.exe

resolved the slowdown on the second display (it seems) using Wine 8.02

I did not need `__VK_LAYER_NV_optimus=NVIDIA_only` as I don't believe DXVK is used by the application.

Separately, on winehq-staging (8.15) I found that my primary display (laptop) would become corrupted upon exit - but this did not occur on winehq-stable (8.02).

Hope this helps others.
