No. It didn't for me. Got the original back in Feb 2012 and the enhanced in May 2021

When I bought the EE, not only did it not remove the original from my library but I also received a key for another copy of the original version which I was able to give away to a friend.

I'm not sure if that's still the case now, but I believe it is.

Hey, thanks for the answers, both of you. I marked the first one as the solution, I cannot do it for both, but both provide me with the information I wanted, so thank you a lot!

Edit: Following the information from you, I bought EE and indeed 2 separate positions - the EE and the original, showed in my purchase summary and I also have them as separate entries in my library. Confirming for anyone willing to give it a shot as well.

I, however, have no idea where extra game keys show up on GOG. Can you help again? :)

Taking a close look, I just noticed my copy of PST:EE did NOT include the extra key. Baldur's Gate 1, Baldur's Gate 2 and Icewind Dale did so I assumed they all did. Further, the store page for PST:EE says the original will automatically be added to your account, while the other EE titles say they "include a copy". Not sure why Planescape was handled differently from the other Infinity Engine games.

FYI: If you buy BG1, BG2 or IWD you can find the extra key by selecting the game in your library on the website (not in Galaxy) then clicking More > Serial Keys.

Thanks, I appreciate your reply!
It is weird, because my order summary was the picture included. I already had had PST:T in my library. It's a pity, really, as some people DO get an extra copy when they make the order for the same money worth. Did you actually get the classic versions of the other Black Isle titles along with the EE versions? I thought people had claimed it's impossible to get those on GOG now. So I am a bit confused now.

I do not have the EE versions of the games you specified, but the bit about the website version helped a lot, much appreciated! If one goes to the orders section, they can filter the orders according to specific criteria, e.g. to how only keys (redeemed and unredeemed ones). I have some unredeemed ones I am surprised to see there, but no info whether or not they are expired :( Anyway, no extra PS:T key there indeed.

Edit: Also, it is a bummer that Galaxy does not have soe of the basic functionalities the website version does, filtering by the date purchased being one. I find it hard to understand why they have failed to implement those.

Looking back though my order history I can see that my EE copies of BG1, BG2 and IWD did include keys for the classic versions -- even though I already had the classic versions in my library when I bought them. I forgot that Planescape EE released well after the first three, though. So that wasn't included in my initial purchase. Nor was Neverwinter Nights EE and it looks like that did not include a key for the classic version either.

I think the people claiming that GOG is no longer including the classic versions are getting confused -- as I did -- as to which games automatically get added and which require you to redeem a key first (and that you have to use the website and not Galaxy to do so).

So I believe this is an accurate summary:

- BG:EE : provides a key for the classic version, even if you already have the classic version
- BG2:EE : provides a key for the classic version, even if you already have the classic version
- IWD:EE : provides a key for the classic version, even if you already have the classic version
- PST:EE : automatically adds the classic version to your library if you don't already have it
- NWN:EE : automatically adds the classic version to your library if you don't already have it

And IWD2 and NWN2 don't have enhanced editions, so there's only one version of them.

Yeah, it is a bit confusing - they should make it clearer on the purchase pages. The different ways to add classic versions may have led some people to believe they are not available on GOG anymore, which in turn, as they voice it whenever possible, led me astray a lil bit. Thanks for checking all that information - I think it will prove useful to a lot of people in the future. A high quality post :)
I guess we have it all sorted out now. Have a good day, good sir!

I cannot find my key for the original, and BeamDog killed the command console. I am stuck in an area with the item I need to spawn a portal that will not spawn. I cannot use change location. I REALLY wish they would stop pushing the BeamDog shit on us.

Where is my original version of PST? There is no key in the internet profile and no original version in my library.

Have you checked the hidden section, just to be sure? I bought the game fairly recently (within the last half-year), and both editions are in my library.
