That battle is so hard! Every time I try to kill him, he uses a powerful spell to control TNO, wich is obviously the most strong character I have. Without TNO's spells I can't beat him, and Ignus fire attacks aren't much effective against him. Annah don't do much damage and Falls-From-Grace is good to heal others, but don't have many offencive spells, and her bare hands inflict zero damage. There's no hope of win?

I don't think you want to use fire spells on him. Trias uses fire spells doesnt he? Maybe some fire defense spells for your party?

I remember having some trouble with him, but I eventually slaughtered him rather quickly.

The more good deeds you do in the town the weaker Trias is.
If you have sufficient intelligence/wisdom you should be able to avoid a battle entirely.
I don't think that's actually true.

If you responded to what DarrkPhoenix said, he was right. It is not necessary to fight him, I didn't.

What are the stats minimum requirements if I want to avoid fight?
Just looked into it a bit more and it seems my memory was faulty about being able to avoid a fight (I was thinking of the conversation you have with Trias after you defeat him). In light of that all I can suggest is making sure you've completely as many good deeds as possible in Curst before facing Trias, as this will make him significantly weaker.
Thanks everyone. : )

You guys won't believe it. I was losing control of TNO because I was using a CURSED weapon. Trias didn't had anything to do with it. I finally was able to kill him! And I received a nice reward. : )

Edit: Also attached the image of the cursed weapon, for the curious people.

You're not using morte??

Yeah, I'm pretty surprised to see neither Morte nor Dak'kon in the lineup.

Wow, I was feeling exactly the same, I could've swore I did not fight him but now that you say so, I actually remember the fight perfectly. Funny. I guess it's cause you spoke with him fore some time afterwards and didn't have to kill him that I totally forgot about the fight.

Sorry guys for our misinformation, I guess you have to fight Trias.

Don't worry, already got rid of him. Now I'm near the end, in the Fortress of Regrets. I better be careful in this place. Wish me luck.
No Morte or Dak'kon? Huh. Well, I like Vanilla Coke, and am a satisfied Vista user, so I suppose it's possible to roll without those two. Still seems weird, though.

If Trias keeps slaughtering one of your characters you can just run out of range to avoid him. Although in this case it was that cursed dagger with berserk on it, so that wouldn't work.

I have no idea why people say Mage is the most powerful class choice in the game. The class-unique text and stuff is great, but I felt kind of worthless most of the time. Trias I killed mostly because I lucked out and got through with a Litany of Curses with Morte (which I had upgraded all five "levels" and still only worked one time in ten during "disc 4"). Fight was a breeze after that. With my Fighter I could even carve my way through the True Shadows in the Fortress if they cornered me... although it was kind of fun to use Guardian Mantle or wossname and rain thaumaturgical death on groups of ten of them in melee range. Risky, but fun.
I have trouble defeating Trias, he seems to be using some
kind of ice spell which freezes me, instakill TNO and has a small AOE who can also kill some companion. Nobody seems to mention this spell here, did I miss something, like ice or magic defense upgrade ? Or is it because I didn't do enough good deed in carceri ? Even though a character told me I weakened him enough ... :s

edit : And just after posting this message, I reload my quicksave and defeat trias...He didn't even use this spell...don't know what I did differently :s
