I downloaded patch 3.0 (500MB) took a while and then run the exe and gog galaxy wants to download 11gb !. Next try. clicking on the small number on the right (play, more and then this number 2.03). Galaxy wants to download 9 gb!.

No! Dont want to dl the whole game again with my slow connection. Just the patch and then go for the long trip to dl the 2gb for wm2.

What can i do. Nothing works... I, JUST, WANT, TO, DL the 2,5 gb patch+wm2 nothing else.

Sry for that, but i am really angry supporting gog and not shitty steam. Maybe that was a mistake. With steam at least everything works...

I feel your pain. I'm going on an entire day now trying and failing to get PoE on GOG to work.

I started with GOG Galaxy which completely failed to install the game correctly after taking 8+ hours downloading 25GB. It just kept giving me a disk access error which I tried all kinds of ridiculous things to fix according to some previous threads on GOG about this disk issue. To say nothing about how confusing, unresponsive and crash prone Galaxy is. It's in a laughably bad state, I will never touch it again.

So I'm forced to download the files in my browser which has given me an installation error every single time upon completion. I've redownloaded the main installation files over 5 times now.

It's basically at the point that I can't even use my software that I payed for. This is probably the last time I will ever buy a game on GOG. So much wasted time and frustration to play one single game that I still can't even play.

I've had a few problems with Steam over the years but nothing approaching this complete joke that GOG is.

Which patches did you download? To update from WM1 you need to download 3 installers. You need both the base PoE 3.0 patch and the WM1 3.0 patch, then the WM2 installer.

Once those are all installed Galaxy should see the game as up to date and not download anything.

I started with the poe base game 3.0 patch. But it doesnt work and i ve to dl 11 or as i said another time 9gb. Strange that one time i need to dl more gb...

The patch only has 500mb btw.

Sad as it is i think inrptrn i wait until everything works. Dont want to waste more time. Is there any clue gog team is working on the problems with installation of wm2 and patching of the game?

If you weren't on the latest version before WM2 was released, the patches will not work unfortunately.

What i'd do in your situation is just download the new full installers.

I don't recommend using Galaxy to install or update PoE. The download will be gigantic and Galaxy always did seem have trouble with PoE, at least for me.
