The game reviews from developers said and I quote that their game will be able to run on older machines. I brought a newer machine a pc 1 year old and can play many things. This game wasnt one of them.

The game looked cool but I there should be little to no emphasis on graphics. They should have made it look like TOEE if they really wanted to be able to satisty the graphic whores.

The game was lowered to bottom of quality and still slow, the mouse speed.

I dont know what they were thinking but they obviously werent thinking. I never had slow problems on Baldurs Gate 1, 2, Planescape, Icewind Dale 1 and 2. And I am talking about when they were out and when they were current.

If I was a horrible person I would say I hate the developers-I dont. I just think they should have listened to their fans rather than the graphics whores who only play the games for that reason and that reason only.
It actually doesn't have high requirements because of graphics quality - it has high requirements because it runs on Unity engine, which doesn't exactly allow great extents of optimization. On the other hand, I am currently running it on 2 years old notebook which was shit even when I was purchasing it, so the game not working on such a recent PC is weird at least. What are your parameters and what exactly is wrong with the game?
I sure wish I hadn't bought this. first, I'm really not interested in playing it after what I've seen the first few hours. (playing bg enhanced instead when I want a solo rpg). second and most of all, they said there wasn't gonna be a physical release of this (other than the limited preorder one). GUESS WHAT HAPPENED

assholes. just assholes

The game runs but it has slow mouse scrolling which isnt fixed from gameplay menu

The characters move and interract slowly

And the wait time is 1 minute from each event.

I am running a windows 8 so I am going to open a case of dispute against the company lying through their teeth on the specs.

I didnt even know this. I just as much figured you could solo like baldurs gate. People better get it through their heads, developers too, you CANNOT beat baldurs gate even with all the quirks or graphics. Obsidian does a good job at other games but lets face it, unless you somehow manage to get david warner or some other amazing voice actor, you might as well forget it.

These games were made to have extra amazing talking and voice acting like the other infinity engine games. From what I have seen this game deserves a 1 out 10.
Could it be driver issues? Because this game runs smooth for me even on a fairly mid-range PC. Initial load time is long but as far as the game performance is concerned, everything is running smooth.
I'm running Windows 10 x64 and the game runs fine--takes upwards of 20 seconds to load a game sometimes, but that's it as far as my criticisms go--and that isn't much of a criticism.

I marvel sometimes at how quick people are to bitch at a game company for the poor state of their computer environments and/or hardware--they act as if their machines have nothing to do with actually running the game...Lol...;)

And it's certain you won't get any help if a) you just bitch and don't ask for any and b) you say not a word about your hardware & software environment. You'll never get any helpful suggestions without being a lot more verbose as to your system specs.
Really? cause thats a load of crap. ahem.

I suspect user error or just plain inexperience. or an agenda to complain.

I am running it on a 5 year old Lenovo with win 7 32 bit and it functions flawlessly, looks beautiful and I am on my third playthrough in 6 weeks. I love the game and it is far prettier and combat is much better than Baldurs Gates/IWD were by far. Yes I loved BG's and IWD's but they are old and that ship has sailed, nothing new or unfamiliar in them at all, honestly after 20+ playthroughs what wouldnt be worn out?

I wish I had a newer machine so it would look even better and load even faster. But the math works like this new computer? or new firearm? or new sword? or repairs on the vehicle? or

Yeah the problem with someone great and famous like David Warner is the voice is TOO recognizable, also what is the real issue? you bitch about the game then you bitch about the voice acting, far as I am concerened no voice acting would be even better , save the money and make a longer game with more content and options.

Your dispute case for specs being wrong will hold as much water as a thimble, works fine as I said on a 5 year old win-7 32 bit machine. Guaranteed they have a test rig at the game studio with even lower specs than mine and it runs on that too.

I loved TOEE, but it is not nearly as good looking as POE and was a D&D product with all the handicaps, flaws and weaknesses of D&D...class /race restrictions, alingment restrictions, weapon proficiency restrictions, crappy skills, overpowered magic-using classes or just plain lousy fighting classes, D&D made you min/max.
To the last two posts, I'd like to add that if you care to take the time, this here is a whole forum-topic full of people talking about how they made it work on (many of them) low spec pcs. You popping up to declare that it's broke in the midst of all of this is kind of funny.

What I marvel at, is one of his main gripes is voice acting, which is low on my list to make a game good!
