I got a question regarding PoE 1 and PoE 2

I bought PoE 1 Base edition + White March 1 and 2 (can't remember if bought seperately or the pass) a long time ago and I was wondering how can I upgrade to the actual definitive edition?

PoE 2 Obsidian Edition:

The bonus states that a soundtrack is included, is it only a select few songs and is different from the seperate purchasable soundtrack off the store since it isn't showing that I owned the purchasable soundtrack.

For PoE1 there's no direct upgrade path to the Definitive Edition. If you already have PoE1 and it's expansions, the only thing you get with DE is a unified installer (base + DLC). the rest of the goodies should have been added to your account when DE was released.

For PoE2, just bought the Obsidian Edition today. Checking the tracklist in the download vs. the tracklist on the store page, they are the same, so no need to buy the soundtrack separately.

Hope this helps. =)

Thanks. I guess I would skip getting definitive and just grab another game then. I will stick with my ordered ps4 copy as my all in one copy then. I was worried about the deadfire soundtrack since it isn't uncommon for games to usually only put a select few tracks on a special edition disc but it is good to know that is not the case. Comparing the goodies of PoE 2 and PoE 1, the obsidian edition kinda looks sparse. I really wish Obsidian would do a reprint of PoE 1 collector's guide with a white march addendum.

The Obisidian Edition's value is in the included season pass, but I hear you. PoW1 had the novella, cookbook, strat guide and more. PoE2 got an Alpha pen and paper guide, a decent map and the soundtrack (which is admittedly quite good). I do like the Guidebook Volume 2 though - I'm a sucker for lore books. Aside from the season pass, I wouldn't have bothered.

I hear you on the strategy guide for PoE1. It's one of the main reasons I was going to get the stupidly expensive version of the game even though I'd already purchased the base game. Glad I held off though. Getting the goodies added on for feww when DE came out was a nice bonus.

How does the game play on the PS4? I have Tides of Numenera on there and it plays well, though I haven't been involved in a multicharacter crisis yet so I'm not certain how party combat works with a controller. Only just made it to the first city - I talked my way out of the first potential combat. I have PoE1 and Tyranny on my wishlist for the PS4.

I am still waiting for my copy of PoE DE since I had to order from a UK store since the last I checked the Australian copies I could find are $40 more expensive. I just bought Torment ToN this morning for PS4 for $9 Australian brand new with the day 1 edition bonuses and I haven't had a chance to pop in the disc yet. Been busy trying to do some White March quests. I know it can lag once the explosions start but I reckon what personally would annoy me would be how the controls might be (from what I saw in the video) like Divinity OS 2 where instead of the left stick moving your actual character and then just toggling if you want to do the mouse pointer, you have to instead use the left stick as the mouse the whole time. I am excited though since I want to restart at harder difficulty on ps4 but don't wanna throw away my current 35+ hour save on PC. This week I am waiting for PoE 1 and PoE 2 lorebooks that I ordered and my PoE ps4 copy to arrive so this week will be a good week plus Grim Dawn's forgotten gods will drop too so it will be busy.
