Seriously? Why does GoG need to take days to test something that's already been tested?

I just bought the game on GoG! Had I known this, I would have bought it on Steam... I'm really disappointed that I won't be able to play with the patch this week end !

f*** u gog!
Anyone know if GoG saves are compatible with STEAM saves? If so I guess there's a way for me to be able to continue my journey sooner than later. Dont want to do it but I'm not going to wait if I can help it.

Should be compatible, yes. Maybe you have to disable Steam Cloud first.

Doubt I have to do that. I'm not about to buy the game twice if you get my meaning.
GoG this is a major screw up. If you publish those changes after the holidays you will lose a lot of costumers. I never understood why people loved steam so much. Now I get it.

Of course people say that buying with Steam DRM is like getting fucked, but at least it's gentle and with lot's of lube.

scnr. ;)

DRM has nothing to do with that. If anything it should be slower to patch stuff for the steam ver. rather than stand alone from gog without any extra wrappers.

It has to do more with management and their internal procedures which are clearly inferior on GoG.

If they are going to miss this patch because of the holidays they will send a sad message to their costumers.
It just takes one person from the qualified GoG staff who wants to play the game himself to apply the patch!

There is hope!
Where is that patch? Is GoG seriosly going to wait until after the weekend? That's not cool ...

People, people, get a grip. Seriously.
I'd love to have the patch as much as anyone else but:
a) It's just a game, not the end of the world - if you don't want to play PoE before you get patched then spend the time playing some other game. There are plenty of good ones to go around
b) Let's be honest here - you wouldn't stay to deliver that patch to people. Not on a holiday, and probably not on a regular weekend either. So don't go around seething and expecting GoG workers to do so. They're people too, they deserve their rest same as anyone else.

Actually, I would. Delivering patches for new titles on time is very, very important. Failing to do so hurts their business expansion into current games massively.

Next time it may be a multiplayer title where you can't even join the servers without having the new patch. Getting patches up as soon as possible is important. Hopefully they'll set up a system that allows the devs of new games to upload patches themselves.
That's ridiculous. And sad. If we really have to wait days for a patch which is already available...
We'll i guess i can understand if GOG loses customers to Steam. I am very upset myself.
The problem is not that they're going on holiday, it's that the way their update system is built. They have to run their own QA while on steam, the uploader only has to push a button themselves. Hence, GoG updates are always days later. And it sucks. And it's why im not going to buy games from gog anymore. Not until they have a similar system to steam.
