Santiago: Since it takes like 5 minutes to make an installer and another 5 to put it on their server, it's certainly not reasonable. But of course there are worse problems in the world.
Yeah, i even was generous when i said 10-15 mins :)

How long it'd take makes little difference - you have to realize GoG is in different timezone than Obsidian. By the time Obsidian releases the patch (assuming it does pass the QA), people working at GoG will be back in their homes spending holidays with their family.

I wouldn't expect anyone coming saturday from holiday to work just to bring us the patch so it's better to accept the patch will most likely come Tuesday.

It really depends whether the staff working on it are in Poland or Cyprus. In Poland it's Easter this weekend. In Cyprus it's next weekend.
Steam patch is out ~900Mb

Well, obviously the patch has to be build by the polish team, so they will start on tuesday. By thursday they have finalized it and send it to QA - in Cyprus. :D

Btw., the patch is now out on Steam.
So the steam patch is out. What's the ETA version for GOG?

Yes, at least they want to left us an easter egg surprise, they are already resting and singing "Finally friday" by now.
Well, the patch will be for tuesday or maybe Wednesday but this is only bad luck due the difference of time zone.

Hey, everyone. The 1.03 patch is live on Steam. To make sure your game updates you will probably want to completely quit out of the Steam client and jump back in.

GOG and Origin will be going through their own QA process before putting the patch live on their end. I expect it will take them a couple of days to run through that process on their side.

And GOG users wept.

Origin? o_O

Anyway, would like to get the patch from GoG as well today.
GoG you better post that patch or next time I will buy somewhere else.

kilobug: From my own experience with "big new games" on GOG like WL2, the patch will be available on GOG 1-2 days after it's released by Obsidian, which is a perfectly reasonable delay.

cudds: No, it really isn't . GoG is getting a fully working build of the patch from the developer studios. The only thing they need to do is rebuild the release with their own installer, which should take about 10-15 min including configuration of the installer properties.

I never understood the crazy delays with GoG patching, unless they manually gametest the patches for several hours there is no reason for these to be this long. And testing the patches should be the responsibility of the game developers, not GoG.
AS Gog change the patches (including the numeration) to own needs, Gog need to be sure don't screw it. Then again, the Gog bet to how handle old game was a big mistake as now they don't focus only on the old ones, that is why Gog Galaxy is being developed.

Unless I've gone senile at ripe age of 30 GoG was created by CD Projekt, which is based in Poland. What's with the whole "Cyprus" thing, really?
yes on steam is already available what about gog users ... when is the update coming?

Also wasn't it holidays today (and Monday too) in Poland ?

So yes, as much as I would love to have the patch today or tomorrow I won't hold my breath...

Well today was normal workday, but at this hour it's already weekend/holiday combo which indeed will last until monday. Hence why I think the earlierst realistic date is Tuesday.
