From BAdler over at Obsidian:
"The 1.04 (540) patch is now live on Steam. It is currently going through the QA process for GOG and Origin and should be available on those sites in the next day or two."

See previous post for patch notes.
Well damn. I'm just going to stop playing until this is done so that I can have my game work right with the IE Mod. What a dilly decision to tie everything to hex addresses like that and those are changing every time someone sneezes.

The IE mod was updated before the patch became available on GOG.
This patch isn't available yet though, is it? We've got 1.4, with no indication of .054 or 540 or what not. And I've been told that any changes to the game ruin the patch.

My main point is I want to play the game, not sit and wait for patch updates etc and spend half hlaf my time updating to the latest version of both. I'll just wait until bugs are mostly squashes and then I'll be able to enjoy the game more.

Yes it is. The patch on GOG is 1.0.4.540 -- this thread subject reflects that -- and IE mod was updated to support that patch. You said you was going to stop playing so you could use the IE mod, well you can, right now.

1.4 is out on GOG since yesterday (Windows) or today (Linux) - see the respective thread.

If you can wait a bit longer, you might want to wait for 1.5 which allegedly has some balancing changes based on feedback. No guarantee for that, though.
wait for 1.5 or try out 1.4, eh... I hate making decisions!
The way I heard it, 1.05 might take longer to be released than the first two did.

They need to stop making balancing changes. This is a single player game, not some MMO. Sheesh. If they were going to do that, the time was before release, not after it will change the viability of someone's strategy.

Yes, it's probably a month away.

I think there's some potential for more varied and interesting gameplay with some adjustments to the game.
Balancing patches in a single-player game should make sure that as many abilities and spells as possible have some meaningful use (even if circumstantial) and that the game provides a good challenge.

Where is that patch? My page just shows 1.0.3 to 1.0.4. No 1.0.4.054 anywhere.

That is GOG's wonky naming system. It is the patch that was released yesterday.
