I ran into an odd case I thought I'd share - Pillars would not run on my Linux Mint 14 install if I had the desktop version of Slack running. I have no idea why - it'd just bomb with no error. Running an 'strace ./PillarsOfEternity' referenced some Slack libraries. Closing Slack fixes the problem.

Kind of a weird situation that took me a while to figure out, so thought I'd share.

Thank you! You indeed just saved me a lot of time (still an issue in 2020 using Arch and Slack 4.3.2).
