I watched a few playthroughs and the uploader didn't really go into any dungeons. I'm wanting this game to be like Darkstone or Diablo where you go into dungeon after dungeon hacking away at various enemies, is that this game?

Not at all. It is much more focused in narrative. Dungeons are static. Unique items are not randomized.

This game is more akin to Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 and Dragon Ages Origins
