I already own this game on steam, I've played it for many hours, but I bought it here too just because I want to continue to support Obsidian for the fantastic achievement this game is.
The improvements over the first game multiply gameplay opportunities like nothing else. The graphics are gorgeous and thoughtful. The music is incredible - I Audacity'd the youtube video just so I could listen to it on the go, happy to have FLAC now. The story is epic and multi-layered. The characters range from effective to legendary. Eder's pipe. Modwyr. The ranged ship combat is so optional that I didn't once do it in any of my playthoughs. The side quests are varied and interesting. The whole thing with the Gods is great on the first playthrough and their take on the whole deal is awesome. The weapons are pre-defined in the best traditions of RTWP. Multi-classing. Shanties. Exploding enemies with crits. The narrator.
Thanks for this timeless experience, Obsidian.
