Will we be getting the Hero Edition, with the option to update later to the Champion Edition ?

There is no option to upgrade from the Hero to the Champion now, but I'm guessing that they will eventually add it when the game is released.

Related: Is there also a "Regular Edition", or is that what they call Hero Edition now?
I'm looking for the "Just the game, please" Edition, as it were.

Just the Game is the plain Hero Edition yeah. If you pre-order that one, you also get 2 "Mystery Items" as a Bonus which have yet to be revealed by now ;)

sigh... things have long ago gotten out of hand with these "editions", I was happy blaming EA and saying they were the devil in the industry... yet every month you see another example from another company. aaaaaaaaaaand it sucks.

My feeling with this game was that they were doing an homage type thing to BG2:SoA. Which, when released, had 2 editions, the collector's edition had the ST, and bonus content, which was 2 items not in the regular release of the game. The items were usable items that were items from other games, and I'm hoping somehow that is what they do with these 2 items, somehow get the rights/permission to give us Dak'kon's blade and the Portal gun, ya know? hehe

Any advice what to do here?

Issue "almost" solved; the game starts and loads game saves when starting/playing it via GOG Galaxy client.

I have the same issue. It seems that it's Galaxy related somehow.

blotunga: I have the same issue. It seems that it's Galaxy related somehow.
Well, no issue for me anymore. It seems that GOG Galaxy has become my favorite launcher for supported games anyway - so far.
I have not tried any PoE-mods from Nexus so far for the game running with GOG Galaxy ... I mean to say, no idea, if mods from Nexus run properly that way ... as far as the game really needs some to improve game play ....
