If I don't complain a little, I feel I will explode.

I am coming up to the end of the game. My plan was to follow the Huana quest line first, then try the others. I went all the way to the hearing in Queen Onekaza's throne room but could not bring myself to go forward. "I saw Andaccio in Director Castol's office. I followed him to the Brass Citadel but was too late to stop him." Did a group of school children meet during lunch and come up with this false flag operation? "Mrs. Smith! Mrs. Smith! I saw it! It was him!"

I work in law so perjury offends me, but that is beside the point.

Where is the elegance? I mean, the devs intentionally made parts of the VTC's final quest overlap with Huana's final quest. Did nobody think Queen Onekaza and the Watcher would be clever enough to take advantage of VTC's plan? I went to the powderhouse with VTC animancers' help, for crying out loud. All Queen Onekaza had to do was "discover" the truth of what happened, bring it before Director Castol, make it clear that the RDC must be satisfied but the Watcher must not be implicated (being the only one who can be expected to confront Eothas and live), ask for Castol's cooperation to discredit the VTC in exchange for lenient treatment of him, and she might have achieved her ends not having uttered a single false statement.

When I came up to my ending in KOTOR II, I was moved to tears by how bold and how clever Obsidian crafted it. This... There is more strategem playing out on the news in real life.

Hey, I guess that's what you get for siding with the most boring faction in the game ;) I felt the most rewarding ending was ditching them all and bravely venturing on your own with your trusty companions.

I wasn't as interested in the factions as I was with their leaders. It was mainly coincidental that Ukaizo was built by the ancient Huana. I ended my first playthrough siding with Aeldys (thus the Principi). Queen Onekaza II was my first choice though.

To be honest... I also allied with the Huana, but at the moment I already side with the Queen the RDC yields with bodies at its HQ because I made the mistake of listenning all the offers... and man, RDC doesn't like a "NO".

I almost fell into that trap. The warning about I wouldn't be able to go back gave me pause, and later by chance I learned what that meant for the RDC on the Wiki. The RDC is too violent for me. I am not a bleeding heart, but I am a strong proponent of thinking long and hard before killing someone or smashing something. Who knows when someone or something would do something interesting or helpful later? It does seem like poetic justice that the RDC asked you to kill someone, and if you refuse, they end up being the ones killed. :)

Yeah, something I don't like after two games where I allied with the Huana is that I'm always losing Pallegina. I can listen the offer from the VDC without risking to end in a bloodbath, bue she aways get angry with me :( . In comparison, Maia remains with me even if she was in my party at the moment of the RDC's bloodbath.
And in one of the game, the bad final guy was Atsura, and Maia was more than happy killing him
I read about that. An unexpected but welcome quirk for Maia and the RDC.

Pallegina in Deadfire became too rigid for me. I lost points with her just by chanting "Nemnok! Nemnok! Nemnok!" I mean, lighten up! I came to like the gods in Deadfire, even Woedica to a degree. I was a bit disappointed with how things turned out with Pallegina but it made sense given her childhood and what happened to her in my POE1 playthrough.

Other than Eder and Xoti, I felt like the gods in Deadfire were as much companion to me as any other. I hope in future Eora games, perhaps POE3, there will be fewer companions with more class options, and each companion will have meaningful interaction with all quests.

To be frank, it seems that Nemnok is the reason of why Haravia's guess about Pallegina's anatomy can be wrong after all. So, yeah, I can understand why Nemnok is her achilles heel whereas the Watcher will never be . Now, her zealot well, she is their paladin after all.

Long life to Pallegina, and Eder!
