On my first mission I cannot seem to be able to build bazars. The icon is not availbale (not litten) You cannot end the mission without building bazars.

The bazar should show up when the Granary starts getting food and is on the same button.

Remember that generally you can check your objectives and what you have to do in a mission by clicking on the "ankh" symbol (under the "ship" symbol): during the first missions you will even find every step to follow like a tutorial.
