I wrote to GOG support requesting the superior version of the Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh. I will write any info I may receive here.

Voted - that would be cool to get the windows version. I actually didn't know there were differences.

I'm guessing there may be compatibility issues with running some of those mid 90s Sierra titles on current versions of Windows, hence why most of them come wrapped in DosBox.

I've asked our Lead Programmer about the Windows version of Phantasmagoria 2, it seems that there were technical issues that prevented it from working and only the DOS version was reliable enough to be released. He said that he put checking the Windows version again on the TODO list. I must warn you that currently our Product Team has a lot of work with other matters and I wouldn't expect much progress in the next couple of months.

This response is kinda ridiculous considering there is an easily available fan patch that makes it work flawlessly on modern Windows systems. I recently played the Windows Enhanced version of P2 on my Win 8.1 laptop without a hitch using it.

doesn't that fan patch only work on the cd version and you need the cds in the drive for that fan patch though?

There is no non-CD version of Phantasmagoria 2, all that FMV would be like 800 floppies


And they're not ever really gonna upload it, are they? Very frustrating!
