Has anyone made it work in a "native" way? [..like using wine]

I got it to work with Crossover. Someone who is proficient with WINE might even get it to work there. Just start it with "/nointro" or delete the intro-video-file to prevent it from playing. I had to do this because after the intro the screen stayed black. Without intro it works perfectly :)

On windows the problem is the same with the intro as on mac and linux via wine, but on wine the redirect from blink video to the game totally fails. so great suggest above. simply skipping the intro makes the game work like normal.
